Ultimate "Hornbill Choir”

Discover NagalandThe “Ultimate Hornbill Choir” competition is an event initiative of the Music Task Force. This competition is a first of its kind event to be held during the Hornbill Festivities. Under the aegis of the Music Task Force, the choir competition is all set to bring about the promotion of Choral Music in the State and to create a platform like no other. It is an open for all event, be it from the Gospel, Secular or Folk genre, artists can also be represented from Schools, Colleges, Music Institutions, Churches and any individual groups who wish to perform regardless of age or choir genres. This competition also aims in promoting choral arrangements of the Naga Folk Tunes into the mainstream arena. Through this event the Music Task Force aims to bring Choir Teams together from all districts of Nagaland. It is also an initiative to explore and nurture musical talents hidden in the art of Choral Music.
The grand finale will be held at the newly constructed Music Academy, Jotsoma on the 6th of December 2013.

Last year Nagaland recorded a record breaking 1.5 + Lakhs tourist in Nagaland during the Hornbill festival. Its a new hub for tourists in India.
